Goddess Saraswati doesn’t look like a monkey. Lord Hanuman is the only ape deity. Please don’t make fun of religious sentiments. It’s in poor taste.

Nobody is making fun of Saraswati – she’s been re-imagined as a sock monkey, a popular kids’ plushie in North America. I’m sorry if you’re offended, but you’ve misread the intention of the piece.

I guess you didn’t get my point. I am not offended because I am an atheist, but being an Indian I know that many people won’t like it. I’m sure your intention wasn’t bad, but in Hindu deities are not something you can play with. I mean you can make a Santa Claus plushie but a Jesus Christ plushie would be weird.
Saraswati is the goddess of arts as well as knowledge. In India we consider even a pencil as sacred because it is associated with Goddess Saraswati. If we drop a pencil, we pick it up and touch it to our forehead . I hope now you understand that making a toy Goddess is a complete no-no.
Rest is up to you. My intention was just to tell make you aware of the facts.
