UPDATE: Watch the Trailer for “Close-Knit,” a New Japanese Film Out in 2017 …

February 20th Update: The English title for this film is “Close-Knit” and it just picked up second prize in the Panorama Audience Award at the prestigious Berlin Film Festival on February 18. Guy Lodge, a film critic for Variety, just gave it a decent review. Perhaps we will get to see this film in North America after all!

Update: NewNowNext posted some information about this movie, which is not called The Knitting Boy… It’s Japanese film director Ogigami Naoko’s first film in five years and it’s called “Karera ga Honki de Amutoki wa” which translates to when they knit seriously. The English title is “Close-Knit”.

Right now there is no North American release and I hope we can see this somehow … we’ll have to wait and see, but in the meantime here is the trailer and visit NewNowNext for more details.
