Hat tip: Holy crap! Yarn and stuff!
Made by saxarocks who also she posted a few scans from an awesome, vintage Brunswick pattern book (which I just scored on Etsy, but that’s another story) – isn’t this lightning bolt sweater pretty rad?
I really want to sing that post title to the tune of “dinosaur train” … can you tell I have a 3 year-old. <proudmommarant> Who, by the way, told me last night on the way home from school that he wanted to be a dog. He then proceeded to walk over to the sidewalk bushes where he lifted his leg like a peeing dog would. A bystander who witnessed this nearly fell over laughing, it was the funniest thing ever. </proudmommarant>

Is it “felted yellow” or “yellow felted”?

Amazing piece by estonia76 who says, “I needle-felted the spine out of undyed wool roving, with some darker shadows felted out of a random grey wool yarn. This is a custom order for a chiropractor’s office!”

Submitted by Julia aka For Your Own Good who says: “The knitted installation is inspired by Badbea, a deserted clearance village in Caithness, Scotland. Though Badbea is a dramatically stunning spot, it is windswept, rocky and desperately near an extremely high cliff edge. It is said that the families were so nervous their children would accidentally fall off the cliff, they tethered them to posts and rocks while they were out playing.”

In fact, if you go to her November 2009 photo set on flickr, you can see it being made.
