Danielle Holke is a long-time knitter, first taught by her beloved grandmother as a young girl growing up in Canada. In 2008 she launched KnitHacker, a lively blog and knitting community which has since grown to be a popular presence in contemporary knitting culture, reaching more than a million readers each year. As a marketing professional, Danielle advises and works with a motley squad of artists, yarn bombers, film makers, pattern designers, yarn companies and more. Learn more about her latest book, Knits & Pieces: A Knitting Miscellany.
Since 2008, Knithacker has worked hard to shine a light on independent designers and small businesses. In 2020 alone, KnitHacker directly helped hundreds of designers connect with knitting and crochet enthusiasts like you. Help me keep this valuable service alive, consider making a donation!
Your support will help me, Danielle Holke, keep KnitHacker a free service for our community. Every dollar makes a difference, thank you.

on February 19, 2014 at 12:38 pmWhere is this More link of which you speak? I have searched this page and do not see anything remotely resembling a more or …..
I’ve tracked down as much as I could, and according to Ravelry (which I joined, seems like a great site!!!) this is her personal pattern. She apparently makes a headgear each year for her dog for New Year’s card. This if, of course, Year of the Horse = Unicorn.
I’m not a knitter, but I shared this on my social media. Always be yourself. Unless you can be a unicorn. Then always be a unicorn.>>

on February 20, 2014 at 3:56 pmSorry, not her website but a Flikr page. She is incredibly talented.
I too must have it. this woman is a genius. Just looking at her work is a joy. I am a dog photographer and I’m always looking for fun headgear. I am always adapting kids, adult headgear for dogs and some times I just can’t get it to work. Actually just the chin strap is a good idea. Here is my latest for Mardi Gras. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10203104169584175&set=a.1143312742052.22363.1204482150&type=1&theater
