It’s not often that I get the opportunity to review real furniture. And when I say that, I mean it … this Captain’s Chest Wooden Toy Box from Little Colorado is a high-quality trunk that I promise will last you and your family for a long time — forever and ever if you take care of it! This is truly an heirloom piece. I was so happy when I was chosen to review this chest because I’m always on the lookout for more yarn storage, as are most knitters and crocheters … am I right?

From the maker, “Its slatted, barrel shaped lid gives our Captain’s Chest Wooden Toy Box a distinctive style: one that will suit the most discriminating little pirate. Bottom trim completes the look, making it our most decorative toy chest. Handcrafted to last a lifetime and beyond, the Captain’s Chest is shipped fully assembled.”

Designed with toddlers in mind, it comes in eight colors – choose from natural shades like Honey Oak or Espresso, or have some fun with subtle shades such as Pink and Lavender, even white!

I found its forever home under my favorite llama art … it’s perfect, don’t you think?

100% made in Denver, Colorado, this gorgeous chest comes fully assembled, you can literally take it out of the box and fill it up – just like I did! I was also very impressed with the packaging, it’s super-protected – nothing is going to damage this shipment. However, please note, the shipment is packed with recycled materials so densely that you’re left with a full garbage bag worth of padding waste, which, if you’re like me, adds extra costs next time I visit the local dump. Please note that Little Colorado ships anywhere in the US, and if you’re in the Denver area, local pickup is also an option.

Visit Little Colorado online to view all their toy boxes, I promise you’ll be so pleased if you do! I would recommend this product to friends and family, and I’d definitely give it as a gift with no hesitation whatsoever.

About Little Colorado: Little Colorado was established in 1986 in Golden, Colorado. From day one, the founders set their sights on building high-quality, wooden toddler furniture at a reasonable price, and for thirty years, as competitors moved manufacturing to Asia, they continued making all their products in the USA.
