This isn’t Elle’s first time authoring a book. Her first book, Wonderful Earth, was an illustrated tour through some of her favorite things about this planet, concluding with the people she loved. The new book offers an explanation of why humanists believe it is important to be kind to others and work to make the world a better place. Elle explores the Golden Rule, which has been taught in various forms by many different religions for thousands of years, and presents a modern humanist revision. With just a slight change in emphasis, the “Platinum Rule,” as it’s sometimes called, adds a different level of empathy and recognition of diversity. Curious?
