She Knit a Maikaefer Beetle for Art!

Originally made and uploaded by estonia76

From estonia76: “This is a Maikaefer (May beetle) that I knit as a custom piece for a Swiss video artist who is making a stop-motion animated film. It involves 5 animals, each of whom strives to go beyond their physical limitations. For instance, there is a badger that can fly and a fox that can dive. The beetle that I am knitting wants to be able to tunnel like a mole, so he is going to outfit him with a drill bit that will poke through his head like a unicorn horn!”
