Having been in the yarn game for awhile now, there’s one thing I see over and over, whether as part of the marketing department at Lion Brand or as the curator behind KnitHacker, and it’s this: too many knitters and crocheters are afraid to take chances when it comes to patterns. Whether it’s playing with color, adding embellishments, using a different sized needles/hooks/yarn to maintain gauge, etc, it’s time to experiment and take chances! It might mean simply re-imagining a color scheme, opening your mind to a little magical realism …
