My first 45 was Leo Sayer’s “When I Need You“. I played it over and over and over again … drove my mother absolutely bonkers, I’m sure. It was her fault though, she gave it to me! The first record I saved up for and bought myself was “Rio” by Duran Duran … by 1984 I was the biggest Duranimal out there …
