Kate Talbot’s Ziggy Stardust Obsession
The Adoration – an allegory
“I was a die-hard fan of Ziggy Stardust as a teenager and carried my obsession well into adulthood. This image represents the strong influence of music and art in my life with Bowie shown as the master and Damien Hirst as the enfant terrible. I am the apple on the cushion. The symbology also suggests the general argument that contemporary art is nothing more than a soul-less marketing ploy.”
