She Knit a Thor Hammer and Helmet For The Baby!

Made by Rachel Dillensnyder who says, “My boyfriend’s sister is expecting and I wanted to make them something special. Since her husband is huge Thor fan, I figured what better than Winged Helmet and Hammer of Thor rattle. I made up both as I went, though the wings are from a pattern I found on Ravelry. The Hammer has a ping pong ball full of rice stuffed in it for the rattle sound. I Dyed the yarn for the hammer myself, hoping to get a dirty stone look for the top and leathery look for the rest. It didn’t come out perfect, but I think baby Dylan will love them all the same.”
