on October 25, 2011 at 12:41 pmHi there,
I love these pouf ottomans and have wanted to make a eclectic walls piece using this sort of yarn. I have searched the internet and have come up empty. Where can you find this thick of yarn?
Thanks,
Liz

on December 27, 2011 at 5:55 pmI can tell you what it likely is – unspun wool roving. You can get it from companies who sell wool to be spun. You would want pieces that are on the longer side, and may need to lightly felt it to better work with it. Laura Birek’s “Giganto-Blanket” pattern has instructions for lightly felting (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/giganto-blanket) as well as a suggestion for one place to buy unspun wool roving from.
