“Independence is happiness.” – Susan B. Anthony

This mural is part of Olek’s “Love Across the USA” project which is aiming to create similar large-scale yarn creations dedicated to ‘strong female figures’ across the country (a 32ft mural honoring Harriet Tubman was the first). Olek’s plan is to install one female-centric creation in each of the 50 states by 2020.

Follow the progress of Olek’s amazing “Love Across the USA” project here and if you’re in Rochester this summer, go see the mural on the corner of Main and Canal streets – a couple blocks away from Susan B. Anthony’s home.
