Review: Brightech’s LightView 2in1 from the Liteview Magnifier Series – Perfect For Fiddly Fiber Crafts!
Over the summer I had the pleasure of adding Brightech’s LightView 2in1 magnifier light to my craft workspace and what a great addition it has been, both for myself and for my ten-year-old son who uses it for detailed drawing.
Brightech is a lighting company that believes in good quality — with an emphasis on good design — and you can definitely tell. The LightView 2in1 is a solid, quality magnifying lamp that’s versatile, portable and flexible enough for fine fiber arts work.
Often when I’m working with smaller gauge needles and hooks — and I hate to say it, but as I get older (sniff, sniff) — I find that it can be hard to see what I’m doing and this lamp provides a large, lighted, magnifying glass that is operated hands-free.
The LightView 2in1 magnifies up to 175% and provides light without glare, as you can see illustrated in the photo above (I’m working on my cute Cupcake Shrug with beautiful Biscotte Yarn). The lens is very large, 4.5-inches in diameter, and offers great assistance when doing cross stitch, knitting, crocheting, beadwork, or other crafting that requires working with small pieces. You could also use it for reading if you like!
You can adjust the LightView 2in1 to your preferred temperature range from warm white to daylight white or anywhere in between. It boasts a finger-tap sensitive touch dimmer that allows you to adjust the brightness level easily.
I also like the fact that the base of the LightView 2in1 has a metal pull-out intended to help you steady the light as needed. The base is solid and heavy, but when the light is pulled down close, you’ll need to use the metal pull-out to keep the unit upright. It’s a brilliant solution and ensures stable viewing for extreme close-up tasks.
You can adjust the lamp as needed and convert it from a desk lamp to a floor lamp quickly and the pivoting adjustable neck makes it simple to aim the light where you need it.
Need to knit or crochet with black yarn? Anyone who’s had to work with black yarn knows that it can be impossible to see the stitches you’re working with. Use the LightView 2in1 to assist – you’ll be able to see your stitches clearly, eliminating stress and mistakes. Whatever your fiber art of choice, the LightView 2in1 is a terrific addition to any crafter’s bag of tricks.
Some other things to consider …
- This LightView 2in1 comes with a 9 Watt LED light fixture and you will never have to replace the lights. The LED lighting will last for more than 20 years – no heat and no burning out
- It comes with full five-year warranty.
- It will look awesome in your craft room and you know it!
I love this lamp and it’s already a permanent part of my knitting routine. It’s priced under one-hundred dollars which is very reasonable. I’ve seen similar-quality lamps for over $300.
* I received a Brightech LightView 2in1 for the purposes of this review. My opinion is my own.
