Anne Mondro Crocheted an Anatomically Correct Heart Using 26-Gauge Steel and Copper

“Crocheting wire enables me to create interwoven forms that are structurally strong, yet visually and physically light. The forms allude to ethereal silhouettes associated with shadows, ghosts or decay.”
She crocheted lungs too! Mondro studies the anatomy she crochets for months before getting her hook out and you can tell. Her pieces, which include hearts, lungs and hands, are breathtaking.
